This piece, La Vie en Rose, was inspired by the iconic song by Edith Piaf. The translation means ‘life in pink’, which essentially means seeing life through rose-colored glasses. To live with an attitude or outlook of positivity, trying to see beauty in the everyday; like you do when you first fall in love. (translation credit to JenandJennifer.com)

La Vie en Rose features a soft pink color palette using acrylic paint. First, I added the geometric pattern in the background to create more depth and layers without overwhelming Rovandio’s unique, minimalistic brushstrokes.

If someone had told me at that young age I would be painting with horses I think I would have been speechless. One of my driving motivations is to impress the inner child within me. I work hard to do things that would inspire her to reach for her dreams, no matter how many obstacles were in her path. I hope that Rovandio’s artwork inspires you to incorporate more magic and imagination into your daily life.
